EHR Interoperability Transforming Quality Improvement and Risk Score

December 18, 2013

Health plans must achieve quality improvement and risk score accuracy while these initiatives face barriers of provider abrasion to medical record reviews and resistance to adopting payer assessment tools. Overcoming these significant challenges can be achieved with Electronic Health Record (EHR) interoperability, which embeds patient-specific gaps to the point of care within the EHR and automates medical record review. This innovation will transform quality improvement and risk score accuracy for health plans operating in the Medicare Advantage, HIX Marketplace, and managed Medicaid markets.
